分类目录 (Docs Category):

Welcome to the Joyor Official Care & Maintenance Hub. Proper maintenance is the key to ensuring peak performance, safe braking, and maximum range for your Joyor electric scooter. Whether you ride an S-Series, Y-Series, or T-Series model, follow this official checklist to prolong battery lifespan and prevent sudden breakdowns.

1. Battery Health & Charging Best Practices #

The lithium battery is the heart of your Joyor e-scooter. Correct charging habits can double its operational lifespan and keep your range consistent over years of riding.

  • Avoid Full Depletion: Never let your battery discharge completely to 0%. Recharge your scooter when the battery meter drops to around 20-30%.

  • Cool Down Before Charging: After a long or high-speed ride, allow the battery to cool down for 20–30 minutes before plugging in the charger. Charging a hot battery accelerates wear.

  • Use Official Chargers Only: Always use the certified charger provided with your Joyor scooter. Incorrect voltage ratings can lead to voltage protection errors or permanent cell damage.

  • Long-Term Storage Care: If storing your scooter for several weeks or months, store it at 50%–70% charge in a cool, dry place. Recharge it once every month to prevent deep discharge.

Note on Battery Warranty: Joyor offers a 6-month official battery warranty covering manufacturing defects. Damage caused by prolonged deep discharge or water ingress is excluded from standard warranty coverage.

2. Mechanical Checklist: Brakes, Tires & Fasteners #

Routine physical checks take less than 5 minutes before a ride but significantly improve riding safety and mechanical efficiency.

Component Maintenance Action Frequency
Tire Pressure Maintain recommended PSI (typically 36–50 PSI depending on model and pneumatic tire type). Under-inflated tires lower range and increase puncture risk. Weekly
Brake System Check disc brake pad wear and cable tension. Ensure brake levers cut motor power promptly without sticking. Every 2 Weeks
Folding Mechanism Inspect safety latch and tighten stem folding bolts to eliminate stem wobble during acceleration. Monthly
Axles & Screws Check motor wheel nuts and frame assembly screws. Tighten loose hardware using standard hex keys. Monthly

3. Cleaning, Water Protection & Electronics Care #

While Joyor electric scooters feature water-resistant construction, protecting sensitive internal electronics extends component longevity.

  • Cleaning Method: Wipe down the deck and frame using a damp microfiber cloth. Never use high-pressure water jets or submerge the scooter.

  • Riding Conditions: Avoid riding through deep puddles exceeding 3 cm in depth. Excessive moisture ingress into the battery compartment or motor hub can trigger communication faults.

  • Display Care: Keep the LCD screen dry and clean. If your display shows warning codes after wet exposure, turn off the scooter immediately and let it dry thoroughly.

4. System Diagnostics & Parameter Calibration #

If you notice uneven acceleration, incorrect speed readings, or display alerts, parameter settings or diagnostic codes can help identify the root cause quickly.

Quick System Troubleshooting: #

  • Parameter Verification: Verify your display P-Settings (such as system voltage P03 and start mode P09) match your official factory specifications.

  • Diagnostic Checks: If an “E-XX” fault code pops up on your LCD screen (e.g., brake or motor hall errors), refer directly to our official technical diagnostic documentation.

  • Official Warranty Support: Key electrical components (controller, motor, LCD screen) are protected by a 1-Year Official Limited Warranty when operated under normal maintenance conditions.
