# Joyor S10 / S10-S Series User Manual, P-Settings & Error Codes

## Joyor S10 / S10-S Series Technical Support & Diagnostics Guide

Welcome to the official Joyor S10 & S10-S (S10S-Z) Technical Support Hub. Built on a high-performance **60V system architecture** with dual 1000W gearless brushless motors, the S10 Series is engineered for heavy-duty off-road and long-range riding. Featuring dual hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear swingarm suspension, and a multifunctional color LCD instrument panel, the S10 platform provides real-time system diagnostics directly through the display controller. This comprehensive manual details error code troubleshooting, full P-Settings menu parameters, battery safety guidelines, and direct PDF downloads.

## LCD Display Diagnostics & Troubleshooting

### System Self-Check & Error Detection

When powering on the Joyor S10 / S10-S, the LCD throttle display communicates with both the front and rear controllers to execute a real-time system self-check. If a fault is detected in the throttle, brake cut-off sensors, motor Hall sensors, or communication line, a corresponding fault code (E-01 to E-18) flashes on the LCD. Cycle through screen modes (TIME → TRIP → ODO → VOL → ERR → TIME) using the Power/Mode buttons to view active fault logs.

### Dual-Motor Diagnostic Architecture

Because the S10-S utilizes dual controllers to drive front and rear motors, error codes specify whether the issue resides in the front or rear drive system:

- **Rear System Codes:** E-01 (Rear Hall sensor), E-03 (Rear controller), E-08 (Rear motor stall).
- **Front System Codes:** E-11 (Front Hall sensor), E-13 (Front controller), E-18 (Front motor stall).
- **Global System Codes:** E-02 (Throttle), E-04 (Brake switch), E-05 (Undervoltage), E-06/E-07 (Communication bus), E-09 (Over-temperature).

## Complete S10 / S10-S Error Code Table

Refer to the table below for official error codes, affected components, and recommended fix procedures:

| Code | Description | System | Troubleshooting Steps |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **E-01** | Rear motor Hall sensor fault | Rear Motor | Inspect rear motor cable connector; check pin alignment; replace motor or Hall board if damaged. |
| **E-02** | Throttle signal fault | Throttle Assembly | Check throttle connection cable; ensure spring returns smoothly; replace LCD throttle assembly. |
| **E-03** | Rear controller fault | Rear Controller | Inspect controller phase wires; test power output; replace rear controller unit if persistent. |
| **E-04** | Brake switch cut-off fault | Brake Levers | Verify brake levers fully spring back; inspect cut-off switch wiring on left and right levers. |
| **E-05** | Controller undervoltage protection | Battery / BMS | Fully charge battery; verify P03 is set to 60V; test real-time voltage in VOL mode. |
| **E-06** | Display receiving communication error | Data Harness | Check main harness plug between display and deck; inspect pins for corrosion or detachment. |
| **E-07** | Controller receiving communication error | Data Harness | Check communication line from main controller to display unit; replace harness if pinched. |
| **E-08** | Rear motor stall protection | Rear Motor | Remove mechanical obstructions from rear wheel; power off for 30 seconds and restart. |
| **E-09** | Over-temperature protection | Controllers / Motors | Stop riding immediately and allow scooter to cool in shade for 30 minutes before restarting. |
| **E-11** | Front motor Hall sensor fault | Front Motor | Check front motor quick-release connector; verify Hall cable pins; replace front motor if faulty. |
| **E-13** | Front controller fault | Front Controller | Inspect front controller wiring inside deck; replace front controller if error persists. |
| **E-18** | Front motor stall protection | Front Motor | Clear debris blocking front wheel; check motor phase cable connections; restart system. |

## P-Settings Configuration Table & Factory Reset

Access the hidden P-Settings menu by holding the Power and Mode buttons together for 3 seconds. Press Power to switch settings, and Mode to adjust values:

| Code | Default Value | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **P02** | 0 | Speed unit: (0) km/h, (1) Mp/h. |
| **P03** | 60 | System working voltage: 24V / 36V / 48V / 52V / **60V**. **Must be set to 60 for S10 / S10-S.** |
| **P04** | 5 | Auto-sleep timer: 1 to 60 minutes (Default: 5 min). |
| **P06** | 10.0 | Wheel diameter size (inches): 10.0 for stock S10 tires. |
| **P07** | 30 | Motor magnet pole pairs count (Default: 30). |
| **P09** | 1 | Start mode: (0) Zero-start (throttle active immediately), (1) Kick-start safety. |
| **P12** | 5 | Acceleration start torque: 1 (soft) to 5 (maximum torque). |
| **P15** | 100 | Speed limiter percentage (1% to 100%). Default: 100%. |
| **P16** | 0 | Cruise control mode: (0) Off, (1) Active after holding constant speed 6 sec. |
| **P99** | — | Factory reset: Long press Mode button for 5 seconds to reset parameters. |

### ⚠️ Critical Note: Post-Reset Voltage Calibration (P03)

**Always verify P03 = 60 immediately after running a P99 factory reset!**

Performing a P99 reset reverts system defaults to baseline parameters. If P03 changes to 36V or 48V, the controller will misread the 60V battery pack voltage, triggering constant low voltage alarms (E-05) or sudden power cut-offs under heavy acceleration.

## 60V Battery Maintenance & Charger Guidelines

- **Initial Charge:** Fully charge the battery prior to first use until charger LED turns green.
- **Storage Protocol:** If unused for extended periods, charge at least **once every 30 days** to prevent battery cell depletion below BMS recovery threshold.
- **Charging Environment:** Always charge in a dry, well-ventilated area away from flammable materials. Disconnect charger once full.
- **Water Protection:** Avoid riding in heavy rain or through puddles deeper than **3 cm**. Water entering the deck or battery enclosure voids all manufacturer warranty coverage.
